Small crocheted flower as a hair tie - tutorial

I think crocheted items exude a certain nostalgic flair - I always think of my grandmother when I do them, because she wielded the crochet hook like no other and that fascinated me as a child.
Are you already a little familiar with the crochet hook?
Great... then grab the materials you need and make your own flower hair tie.
You will need the following materials
- Cotton yarn (here I crocheted with size 8/8)
- Crochet hook size 3.5
- Needle for sewing the threads - a small piece of felt - Hot glue gun- Hair tie
Start with a yarn ring , crochet 2 chain stitches and 4 single crochet stitches into the ring, pull it tight and close it with a slip stitch.
Change the color and start with 2 chain stitches , which you crochet into any stitch of the circle.
Now crochet 1 double crochet and 2 chains into the same stitch. Finish this step with a slip stitch , also into the same stitch.
In the next stitch you start with 1 slip stitch , followed by 2 chain stitches , 1 double crochet stitch , 2 chain stitches and 1 slip stitch .
Repeat this step in the following stitches of the circle until you have crocheted 5 petals .
Use a needle to pull the thread back through the first petal, sew the petal thread , and cut it . You'll need the thread from the circle later.
Using the thread, tie the flower to a hair tie.
Cut a circle out of the felt that's slightly smaller than the flower and make a small hole in the center. Thread the hair tie through it.
Glue the felt circle to the flower with the glue gun. This will hide the unsightly knot and give the flower more stability .
Your pretty hair tie with crocheted flower is ready.
